Installation Guidelines
Probe Case Torque: Maximum rated torque for M8x1 probe cases is 7.3 N·m (65 in·lb). Recommended torque is 5.1 N·m (45 in·lb). Maximum thread engagement length is 12 mm.
Connector Torque: Finger tight maximum. Do not exceed 0.56 N·m (5 in·lb).
Minimum Bend Radius: 25.4 mm (1.0 inch) with or without stainless steel armor.
Gap Setting: Recommended gap is 1.0 mm (40 mils). Linear range begins at approximately 0.25 mm (10 mils) from target.
Field Wiring: 24-16 AWG recommended. Use 3 conductor shielded triad cable with ferrules for 18-23 AWG. Maximum length of 305 meters (1,000 feet) between Proximitor Sensor and monitor.
