  • USB cable (123M4610) required for isolation – computer must run on batteries to avoid ground loops
  • Signal Common grounding: Use 2-pin connector, slide PIM switch to "HP" position

Q1: What is the upgrade sequence from RIM to TDI?
A1: Remove RIM, remove RIM I/O, insert TDI I/O, insert TDI. Leaving RIM I/O in rack will damage the TDI.

Q2: What USB cable is required and why?
A2: Use 123M4610 USB cable. Computer must run on batteries to maintain isolation and avoid ground loops.

Q3: How to connect Signal Common to Instrument Ground?
A3: Use the 2-pin connector on I/O module. Slide the PIM switch toward "HP" to isolate Signal Common from chassis ground.
