The 1746-NT8 converts analog thermocouple or millivolt signals to digital values for SLC 500 processors. It features automatic calibration every 2 minutes, selectable filter frequencies, and open-circuit detection (zero, upscale, or downscale). Installation Guide

Install the 1746-NT8 in any SLC 500 chassis slot except Slot 0 (reserved for CPU or communication adapters). Connect thermocouple or millivolt sensors using the 1746-RT34 removable terminal block. The terminal block includes two CJC sensors. Ensure input devices have impedance under 100Ω for rated accuracy. Configure input type and data format (engineering units, PID-scaled, or proportional counts) in the SLC 500 program.
