Network Wiring & Grounding Guide

  • Use shielded cables to reduce electrical noise. Ground the shield at one end only (DIN rail side).
  • Chassis ground connection is not available on the 1734-485ASC terminal block. Ground at the DIN rail instead.
  • For RS-485: Use 2-wire connection (Data A, Data B) with termination resistors at both ends.
  • For RS-422: Use 4-wire connection (TX+, TX-, RX+, RX-) for full-duplex communication.
