Description

Product Overview

The Bently Nevada 3500/33-01-CN 149992-01 is a 16-channel relay module for 3500 rack systems. It provides alarm and trip outputs for turbines, compressors, and pumps in critical machinery protection applications.

Technical Configuration

3500/33 – 16-Channel Relay Module.
-01 – Standard 16-Channel Relay Output.
-CN – Country-specific approvals (China).
Four groups of four channels, switch-selectable for Normally De-energized (ND) or Normally Energized (NE) operation.

Installation Guide

Set each 4-channel group for ND or NE via onboard switches. Use shielded cables for field wiring. For hazardous areas, observe voltage restrictions (30 Vrms max for CSA-only; lower for multiple approvals). Set initial gap voltage to -10 Vdc for standard 3300 XL probes.

Engineering Advantages

Epoxy-sealed contacts resist dust and corrosion. The module supports SIL-rated safety functions when used with restricted voltage. Seamless integration with 3500 TSI systems and backward-compatible with older 3300 racks (software v3.3+).

Technical FAQs

Q1: How to check ND vs NE operation?
A1: Measure coil voltage. ND = de-energized in normal state; NE = energized in normal state. Front-panel CH Alarm LED confirms channel status.

Q2: What does -CN approval limit?
A2: The -CN suffix indicates China-specific approvals. It may impose lower maximum voltage limits than standard. Refer to the certificate for exact ratings.

Q3: Can it replace older 3300/33 modules?
A3: Yes, with rack configuration v3.3+ and Data Acquisition v2.40+. The module is fully backward-compatible.
