Wiring
Use 14 AWG copper wire for DC input. Connect positive to terminal 1 and negative to terminal 2. Earth ground to chassis lug. Use shielded twisted pair for signal wiring. Keep DC input cables separate from AC mains.
FAQ
Q1: What happens during over voltage condition?
A1: The fuse on PIM opens protecting the system. Replace PIM fuse with same rating. Identify and correct input voltage source fault before reinstallation.
Q2: Can I hot swap this module?
A2: No. Power down rack before removal or installation. Insert or remove only with system power off to prevent damage to PIM and backplane.
Q3: How to check under voltage performance?
A3: Measure input at power supply terminals under full load. Voltage below 20VDC triggers no adverse effect but monitor system stability. Verify DC source capacity for full rack load 11A.
