Bently Nevada 3500-15-03-03-00 is a 3500/15 series power supply module. It features dual high voltage DC inputs with 88 to 140 Vdc operating range. Half-height module installs in left rack slots. Installation

Install power supplies in leftmost rack slots. Lower slot is primary, upper is backup. Insert PIM directly behind associated supply. Both supplies can be installed for redundancy. Removing or inserting one supply does not disrupt rack operation if second supply is installed.

Wiring

Connect DC input to PIM terminals. Use 14 AWG copper wire for DC connections. Observe polarity marking on PIM. Over voltage causes fuse to open on PIM. Under voltage does not harm supply or PIM. Secure wires with proper strain relief.

FAQ

Q1: Can I hot swap the power supply?
A1: Yes. Removing or inserting either module does not disrupt rack operation as long as a second supply is installed.

Q2: What happens during over voltage?
A2: Fuse opens on PIM protecting the system. Replace fuse with same rating. Identify and correct input voltage fault before reinstallation.

Q3: What is the primary backup configuration?
A3: Lower slot acts as primary supply. Upper slot acts as backup. Both supplies can power a full rack independently.
