Description
Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe (330101-00-12-15-02-05)
The Bently Nevada 330101-00-12-15-02-05 is a high-precision 3300 XL 8 mm eddy current proximity probe designed for reliable vibration monitoring and shaft position measurement in industrial machinery. Built in the USA with a 3/8-24 UNF threaded AISI 303/304 stainless steel case, this unarmored model features a 0.0-inch unthreaded length, a 1.2-inch overall case length, and a 1.5-meter (4.9 feet) standard cable with a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector. Weighing approximately 323 g/m (11.4 oz), it utilizes patented TipLoc tip molding and CableLoc technology to provide 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength. It comes complete with CSA, ATEX, and IECEx hazardous area approvals (05 option).
Key Performance Advantages
Features a Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) tip for high mechanical and chemical durability, a nominal probe DC resistance of 7.73 ± 0.50 Ω, and an 80 mil (2 mm) linear range starting at 0.25 mm (10 mils) from the target. The probe supports differential pressure sealing up to 5 bar via a Viton® O-ring and operates effectively in temperatures ranging from -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F).

Installation & Maintenance Guidelines
- Probe Mounting & Gap Setting: Thread the 1.2-inch probe case directly into machine bearing housings. Set the mechanical initial gap to approximately -9 Vdc [1.27 mm (50 mils)] from the target surface to position the probe in the center of its linear range.
- Cable Protection: Route the 1.5-meter unarmored cable through conduit or secure mounting channels to protect against sharp bends or mechanical pinching. Avoid exposing the cable to temperatures below -34°C (-30°F) to prevent premature pressure seal wear.
- System Integration: Connect the ClickLoc coaxial connector securely to compatible 3300 XL extension cables and Proximitor® sensors, ensuring total matched system length (e.g., 5-meter or 9-meter systems).
