FAQs
Q1: Which rack slot for installation?
A1: Install in the leftmost slot of the 3500 rack. Secure with two captive screws at 0.56 N·m (5 in·lb). Ensure the PIM is properly connected before power-up.
Q2: How to wire DC input correctly?
A2: Use 14-16 AWG 90°C wire. Connect positive (+) to terminal 1, negative (-) to terminal 2, ground to terminal 3. Torque terminals to 0.56 N·m. Verify 20-30 Vdc polarity before energizing.
Q3: Green LED off. What to check?
A3: Check DC voltage at terminals. Verify polarity is correct. If voltage present but green off, internal fuse is blown. This is a sealed module – replace the entire power supply. Do not attempt field repair.
