A2: No. Electrical lengths must match. This 5m probe requires a 5m-calibrated Proximitor® for accurate data conversion.

Q3: Is the target material important?
A3: Standard calibration is for AISI 4140 steel. Other materials change sensitivity and require system recalibration.
