Mounting
Install probe with 3/8-24 UNF thread. Set target gap to -9 Vdc for radial vibration applications [~1.27 mm (50 mils)]. Avoid exposing probe below –34°C as it may cause premature pressure seal failure.
Wiring
Use 3-conductor shielded triad cable, 16–24 AWG tinned wiring. Maximum field wiring length of 305 m (1,000 ft) between Proximitor Sensor and monitor. FluidLoc cable prevents oil leakage through cable interior.
Environmental Considerations
Standard probe operates -52°C to +177°C. ETR option extends tip to +218°C. Viton® O-ring seals differential pressure. Humidity tested to <3% ASF change at 93% RH for 56 days per IEC 68-2-3.
