Installation Guidelines (Field Engineer Notes)
Probe Case Torque: For M10x1 probe cases, maximum torque is 22.6 N·m (200 in·lb) on first three threads. Recommended torque is 7.5 N·m (66 in·lb).
Connector Torque: Finger tight maximum. Do not exceed 0.56 N·m (5 in·lb).
Thread Engagement: Maximum thread engagement is 15mm for M10x1. Do not exceed this depth.
Gap Setting: Recommended gap is 1.0 mm (40 mils). Linear range begins at approximately 0.25 mm (10 mils) from target.
FAQs
Q1. What is the advantage of the 250mm case length?
A1. The 250mm overall case length enables deep mounting through thick housing walls, ideal for large machinery and compressor applications.
Q2. What is FluidLoc cable?
A2. FluidLoc is a patented cable design that prevents oil and other liquids from leaking out of the machine through the cable's interior.
Q3. Is this probe compatible with previous 3300 RAM systems?
A3. Yes. The 3300 NSv probe and extension cable are mechanically and electrically compatible with Bently Nevada's previous 3300 RAM systems.
