Common Questions

Q: Do I need external loop power for each transmitter?

A: Yes. The CC-TAIL51 does not supply loop power. Connect each 4-20mA transmitter to a 24V supply and wire the return to the module input.

Q: What happens if a field wire shorts?

A: Individual channel fuses protect the CC-TAIL51. A shorted input affects only that channel. Replace the fuse and correct the wiring fault.

Q: Can I read 0-20mA signals instead of 4-20mA?

A: Yes. The CC-TAIL51 accepts the full 0-20mA range. Configure the input scaling in your control software to match your transmitter output.
