The Bently Nevada 330101-01-29-10-01-CN is a high-precision 3300 XL 8 mm eddy current proximity probe designed for accurate vibration monitoring and shaft position displacement in industrial turbomachinery. Built in the USA with a 3/8-24 UNF threaded AISI 303/304 stainless steel case, this unarmored model features a 0.1-inch unthreaded length, a 2.9-inch overall case length, and a 1.0-meter (3.3 feet) standard cable equipped with a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector and connector protector. Weighing approximately 323 g/m (11.4 oz), it incorporates patented TipLoc tip molding and CableLoc technology providing 330 N (75 lbf) pull strength, and includes country-specific agency approvals (CN option).

Key Performance Advantages

Features a Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) plastic tip for superior mechanical strength and chemical resistance, a nominal probe DC resistance of 7.59 ± 0.50 Ω, and an 80 mil (2 mm) linear measurement range starting at 0.25 mm (10 mils) from the target. The probe supports differential pressure sealing via an integrated Viton® O-ring and operates reliably across an environment temperature range of -52°C to +177°C (-62°F to +350°F).

  • Probe Mounting & Gap Setting: Screw the 2.9-inch probe case directly into the machinery housing. Set the mechanical gap to approximately -9 Vdc [1.27 mm (50 mils)] from the shaft surface to establish the midpoint of the linear measurement range.
  • Cable Protection: Route the 1.0-meter unarmored cable securely through protective conduit. Ensure environmental seal integrity by engaging the integral connector protector, avoiding exposure below -34°C (-30°F) to protect the pressure seal.
  • System Matching: Lock the ClickLoc connector into a compatible 3300 XL extension cable and Proximitor® sensor to maintain full scale accuracy across 5-meter or 9-meter overall system configurations.
