Installation & Wiring Guide
Wiring Checklist: Verify DC source voltage between 88-140V before connection. Use appropriately rated DC circuit breaker. Connect positive to + terminal, negative to - terminal. Torque terminal screws to 0.56 Nm. Install PIM directly behind associated power supply slot. Under-voltage does not damage module. Over-voltage opens internal PIM fuse.
Grounding: Connect rack ground terminal to plant earth ground using #10 AWG wire. Keep DC power cables away from signal wiring. Rack must have proper earth ground before power application.
Redundancy: Install two PIMs with two power supplies for redundant DC feed. Each PIM occupies one slot. Both can operate simultaneously. During replacement, remove failed unit after isolating DC source. Spare PIM slides directly in without rack power removal.
