Installation Guidelines (Field Engineer Notes)

Gap Setting: Recommended radial gap is -9 Vdc at approximately 1.27 mm (50 mils). Linear range begins at 0.25 mm (10 mils) from target.

Field Wiring: Use 3-conductor shielded triad cable (16-24 AWG) with tinned wiring. Maximum length is 305 meters (1,000 feet) between Proximitor Sensor and monitor.

Probe Case Torque: Recommended torque for 3/8-24 UNF is 5.1 N·m (45 in·lb). Maximum 7.3 N·m (65 in·lb).

FluidLoc Cable: Prevents oil and liquids from leaking through cable interior. Essential for applications where cable passes through sealed housings.
