Insert the module into any available slot in the Series 90-30 CPU, remote baseplate, or expansion baseplate. Verify the backplane connector is fully seated before applying power. Confirm the total number of APM modules does not exceed 8 in a modular CPU system. Route servo command and encoder feedback cables separately from high-voltage AC conductors to prevent induced noise on the 1 millisecond loop. Use shielded cable for encoder and analog command lines, with the shield terminated at the module end only. Configure axis parameters in VersaPro before enabling the servo. Verify the 1 millisecond servo loop update is stable by monitoring axis following error under load.
